Google still loves links; that much is undisputed. However, the question of how to construct links or whether to “build” any links whatsoever is definitely debatable.
As an example, I have got never “built” just one hyperlink to NichePursuits.com; however, I have thousands of links pointing to this site. All the links came naturally because others connected to the site alone based on the quality of my content or even for other reasons. This is just what I would recommend doing for the true lasting “Authority” site which you may be working on.
However, when building a niche site, much like the one out of my Niche Site Project, I definitely build links. The purpose of my niche sites is usually to perform exceptional niche research, provide valuable and useful content to readers, then to rank in Google. Deciding on a good theme for that site likewise helps user experience. This usually requires quality link building services.
The objective of this post is just not to talk about if you ought to manually just go and build links in your niche site. I am just likely to assume you have made the decision to provide some link juice to your site. If so, this post will lay out my exact prepare for building links to my new niche site (best, survival, knife guide (.) com – not linking from this point to hold the experiment valuable).
How to Build Links
Firstly, I’ve written a bunch of building links posts in the past, so that you can look for what I’ve said previously below.
So, the objective of this post is to specifically cover the way i will probably be building links for my niche site and can be used as a blueprint for your very own niche sites if you wish. Also, I’m gonna say this out loud again, “I’m not just a backlink building expert!” I make no states to be the pro link builder that others sometimes do; however, I’ve ranked many sites at # 1 in the search engines over my years. I credit my #1 rankings to excellent market and keyword research (that i DO claim to be a specialist in ?? ), and a small amount of link building.
If you are searching for any link building expert, i then recommend looking at Point Blank SEO here. I’ve gone through Jon Cooper’s course there, as well as its given me TONS of ideas, and so i highly recommend it.
I often find one of many traps that people get caught in when link building is because they think they need Plenty of links right away. In fact, you can head to Fiverr and get 1000 Links for only $5…shouldn’t you do that? Of course not (unless you desire a Google penalty). You realize better! (There may good Fiverr gigs available, just avoid spamming).
My point in mentioning 100 links is simply to specify that you just don’t need a lot of links; not always an exact number which i will follow.
My initial plan is to find 100 roughly total links from 10 various kinds of link sources. Types of sources are things like: blog comments, web directories, article directory sites, profile links, video sharing sites, guest posts, and more. By diversifying the original source of links and kinds of links, this provides a far greater link profile that is more natural looking.
Now, I’ll provide a bit more detail how I’ll be building links for my niche site. (I’ll be looking to get approximately 10 links from each of these categories).
Quality Web Directories
Web directories still provide a great source for potential links, and are still very Google friendly. As explained in my previous post here, web directories and blog commenting would be the first links I build to my niche site.
I’m having my Virtual Assistant submit my site to a few high PR directories which are free. Because not every the hyperlinks will likely be approved, I’m submitting to 50 or so directories to begin. So, I’ll acquire more than 10 links total, but some won’t be indexed either, thus i might end up having approximately 10 real links pointing to my website. That’s fine with me.
Blog comments should be real (crazy, huh?). I am just personally going out to relevant blogs and leaving a genuine comment that will depend on that which was written. I am not worried if the comments are DoFollow or NoFollow at this time.
These basic links may help me get some good relevancy pointing to my niche site. Getting relevant links is essential. Also i won’t be employing keyword anchor-text, just my name in most cases.
Blog comments (as all the other link methods here) may help increase the total overall variety of linking root domains to my site; which is a good thing. That you can do a Google search for stuff like “your keyword” “leave a comment” to get blogs allowing comments. (Plenty of other methods exists for this also).
You will get additional information on some of these forms of links here. And if you prefer a full course with TONS of actual link-building opportunities i haven’t even covered here, check out the Point Blank SEO building links course. Its excellent.
Importance of Key Phrases
So, far I’ve just covered the need to build small amounts of links from different locations. If you venture out and spam a large number of blogs or any other locations, you will be likely going to penalize your website. So, I consider the approach that fewer real links is normally much better than plenty of spammy links.
However, an alternate way to buy your site penalized would be to overuse key phrases. I’ve already written an entire post on properly using key phrases here. Here’s element of things i said then for how often to work with keyword key phrases:
10% – Exact Match – “dog training tips”
20% – Partial Match – “best dog training”
10% – URL Match – dogtrainingtips
10% – Brand Match – Bills Proper Dog Training Tips (if your internet site is billsdogtrainingtips). Remember that if your site is dogtrainingtips, then “Dog training tips” is both an exact match AND a brand match.
20% – Related keyword match – “puppy potty training” or “housebreaking a puppy”
30% – No match – “click here”, “read more”, “get a free gift here”, “check out this super sweet website”, “Spencer is cool”, “Spencer is da bomb”, “Spencer needs to chill around the Spencer related anchor text”, “you get the idea!”
The amount of use is just a general guideline. Don’t adhere to this religiously! Also, expect this to alter as Google changes their algorithm! These percentages just emphasize that you ought to not be using exact match key phrases quite often, and you have to diversify.
Now granted, 10% exact match anchor text is rather strict. You are able to likely go up to 20% and stay okay. However, what might be ideal, is if you can use exact match anchor text dexlpky39 highest authority links which you have.
Plenty of other building links opportunities are available, and a lot of will be more powerful than I’ve mentioned. However, when you did your keyword research properly, you may possibly not need any other links!
If you do, you can begin seeking out guest posting opportunities or else interacting with other bloggers inside your niche in hopes of establishing a linking relationship. This deserves as a post alone.
However, imagine if you can get high PageRank links that are within content and relevant? These will be extremely powerful indeed. The good thing is, that this is really possible, and the majority of SEO agencies use the strategy I’m planning to lay out a great deal.
